Well, the head editor of Black Death books contacted me the other day. See, I submitted a query for a novela over a year ago. Well, I was about to e-mail them asking what the status was and I saw an e-mail from their editor.
They want to see the rest of the manuscript.

Okay, I was surfing on-line and I found this awesome book that I must show to all of my flist buddies!

It's a short story anthology and yours truly has a story inside of it called "How To Make A Killing". So, go ahead and pre-order it! You know you want to. Plus, look at that price! Like three bucks off the cover price and stuff.
Or, better yet, take the ISBN number down and go to your local bookstore. Order a copy and buy it from the store. Perhaps they'll start carrying KHP's books. Which helps bridge them out and, hopefully, if I get picked up by them (which the Magic 8 ball says "Yes" to) will get my stories and novelas out there to more hands.
So, get to ordering!

I am finally an offical author. I'm getting published by Black Death Books in their yearly anthology, "The Blackest Death Vol III". The Forest centric short story, "How to Make a Killing" has been accepted and will be published.

As many of you on my friends' list know that I'm a huge Battlestar Galactica Fan. And you know that Starbuck is my favorite character. I love Lee and Adama and Roslin is quickly growing on me. (And Roslin and Adama have SERIOUS chemisty together IMHO.)
Anyway, I have this plot bunny. A serious plot bunny.
In the season two episode "The Farm" Starbuck finds herself in a Cylon breeding facility. She's injured, terrified, not to mention there's Six lurking around and she's terrifyed of Six . . . Ya know, that whole thing with Six beating her ass and all. Anyway, she makes an amazing escape from The Farm. Katee Stackhouse did an amazing job in that episode, but I'm getting off track.
They took part of Starbuck. Probably one of her ovaries. At the end of the episode she tells Anders that she doesn't want to know what happened to her, what they took out.
If you've been watching the show you know the Cylons are VERY intrested in Starbuck. Not to mention when Gaius jokingly mentions that he's going to have a baby with Starbuck that Six almost blows a fuse. They obviously got plans for her. Not to mention she's a very chaotic element.
She disobeys direct orders, but when she does it's for the better of the fleet. In her Chaos she disrupts the Cylon's order. Not to mention Starbuck is loved by Adama and family and deadly as hell.
So, why not make a Starbuck Cylon to frack with the fleet?
Now I have this giant plotbunny where Starbuck fights her own worse enemy: herself.
I even have a title for this thing: The Artemis Contract</b>.
For you not versed in Greek mythology Artemis= Apollo's twin sister. Goddess of the moon, the hunt, protector of children and childbirth and young women. Children and giving birth is something VERY important to the Cylon's.
If you watch the show we all know that Lee loves Kara. He told her that himself. Of course, Starbuck being Starbuck, she joked it off, but she seemed kinda akward and relieved by this. The Adama men obviously have a thing for this plucky blonde chick.
Lee's two greatist weaknesses: Adama and Starbuck.
Starbuck's two greatest weaknesses: Adama and her fracked up upbringing.
Adama's two greatest weaknesses: Lee and Kara.
If the Cylons were to create a cylon version of Starbuck it could seriously frack the entire fleet.
Not to mention a fleet of Starbuck pilots would be fracking DEADLY to fight against.
Could someone make this plot bunny go away?!
